We spent the weekend with Tim's parents for his birthday. After we sang, his mom and I were trying to get a picture of him blowing out the candles. We couldn't get a good shot at first, so we made him practice a few times...

He finally had enough though, and just wanted to eat his cake! His dad had to help cut the frozen cookie dough ice cream cake!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We decided to keep Valentine's Day pretty low-key this year. I got Tim some Nightmare Before Christmas gifts, including a sweet Jack coffee cup (even though neither of us likes to drink coffee)
He also got some saweet Nightmare pajamas
Now Tim did not stay in the spending limit we set this year (his excuse? that it's a girl holiday, so he should be able to spend more on me) and I saw this box sitting in his nightstand weeks before I was allowed to open it. Even though I shook it up a bit, I wasn't able to guess what it was. :(

It turned out to be an awesome Pandora charm bracelet!
The next morning we headed up to Mt. Lemmon for a little time in the snow, where I built a snowman...... and Tim watched.
Tonks appreciated my hard work.
Tim was on clean-up patrol when Tonks decided to make brown snow.
Look! The snowman has more hair than Tim!
We hiked around for a little while, ate some delicious apple pie from the famous pie shop, and had a mini snowball fight (which ended when Tim put snow down my pants and I put it in his hoodie)
On the way home we stopped and got a heart-shaped pizza from Papa John's.
All in all, I'd say it was a pretty class way to spend Valentine's Day!

Paul Makes Brownies

Along with going to Katy's shower, I got to spend some quality time with the family. Paul took this shot of my mom and I:
Paul showed off his addition skills with the new flashcards I brought him:
Paul mixed up some brownies for everyone to have for dessert:

He even got to crack the eggs and put them in the bowl:

Mom lent him a hand with the heavy duty work:Mom got to lick the batter after all of her hard work:

Paul decorated the brownies as well, and served them to everyone at dinner.

Ryan and Veronica joined us for dinner, and Ryan didn't eat his brownie right away. When Paul noticed it had not been touched, he tapped his big brother on the shoulder and said, "Ryan, if you don't want to eat that, I will eat it for you." Ryan quickly took a bite, but did share some with Paul.

Bowhead's Bridal Shower

One of my forever friends (called such because we have known, and will know each other forever) is getting married! I got to attend her bridal shower, and here she is modeling her bowhead look. Her mom Pam and my mom used to make us wear bows in our hair every day... and I'm pretty sure they were about this size, too!
Katy and her mom... don't they look alike?!

Madison's First High School Dance!

Madison came over to my parents' house this weekend to get ready for her first high school dance... I got to do her makeup, and she looked absolutely fabulous!

She humored her mom and I as we took a ton of photos of her.

Mom and daughter... you can't tell in the picture, but I think my aunt was more nervous than she was!
She did get a little annoyed with how many photos we were taking, but she was a good sport overall!
