This year is starting off with a bang! Our new house is being built, and should be completed some time in May. It's only about 1/4 of a mile away from where we are now, so I drive by a lot (especially when Amelia is asleep in the car). This week we got foundation dirt! I'm excited to watch it grow from the ground up! There is a huge oak tree in the backyard, which I am very excited about as well. One thing about Austin that I love is all of the trees!
Amelia and I have been spending a lot of time at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center this week. We had picnics there three days in a row with some friends. The weather was perfect- in the 70's and sunny. They have a shady area where there are about 20 swings hanging from giant oak trees. It's my new favorite place in Austin, and if you visit me I'll drag you there!
We also spent some time by the lake at the dog park this week. Amelia likes it a lot more now that she can walk around a bit. She thinks it's hilarious to watch the dogs run around, chase balls, swim, and shake off! Tonks mostly watches everyone else, but enjoys being off her leash!
We have a lot of things planned this year, including a new addition to the family in July. We find out at the end of next month whether we are having a boy or girl. Frankly we are just hoping for a baby who is born on time instead of early! :)
