Blogging Challenge Day 2.5

So with some technical difficulties aside, I am ready to continue this blogging challenge of ours. Today's task? Blog about goals for 2011.

It's hard to think past the immediate right now. Getting through school without crying is a daily struggle. The hormones are taking control! So goal number 1 for this year is to not cry at school any more. That should be easier as of yesterday, though, since my number one problem student switched schools.

Goal number 2 is to have a more positive outlook in general (good idea Poochie). Apparently I lean toward the negative in life, and have a hard time focusing on the positive. That definitely needs to change now that we have a baby on the way! To go along with the positive attitude, I need to cut down on the stress in my world. This is especially true when it comes to work. Everything is very uncertain concerning next year right now. Last year we went through the same situation, and the stress was killer! It's hard to stay positive when you don't know if you'll have a job come fall or not. However, I've decided that this year I'm not going to worry about it. If I am meant to continue teaching, then it will work out. If not, then we will save a lot of money on childcare next year!

Goal number 3 (or is it 4)? Is to give myself more time for my hobbies, like reading, knitting, baking, etc. Once the baby comes it will be harder than ever to find time for the things I love, so I want to focus on them while I have more time right now.

Finally, I want to ensure that I don't lose touch with the outside world once Poppy is born. I want to be sure to still take time for Tim and I and work on our relationship, too.

That's a bigger list than I expected to have... Time to get started!

I had no idea you guys were expecting! Congratulations, I am so excited for you and your baby because you two will be awesome parents. I agree with your goals about spending more time with Tim and your hobbies. I didn't realize how much those things would change. Once the baby comes you will feel accomplished if you found time to take a shower ;)
